The LMS Committee 👔
My name is Charlotte (hi!), I'm a Masters student on the Communication and Media programme, and my pronouns are ‘she/her’! I really like Disney ;-)
As president of the society, I oversee everything LMS does. This means I have the wonderful privilege of working with my fellow committee members who you can read about below! In my term as president, I will be focusing on providing opportunities to students to have their work seen and shared as well as building community within the School of Media and Communication.
If you ever have any ideas of what you want LMS to do in the future please get in touch! I’d love to hear from you!
Hello! My name is Elena (she/her), and I’m a MA Political Communication student. In my free time, you can probably find me around the School reading a book :)
As Events Officer for LMS, my job this year will involve keeping the calendar packed with new activities and opportunities. From academic events to more relaxed ones, I will be responsible for ensuring that there’s always something for everyone going on at the School.
If you’ve got any questions, or ideas for events that we could potentially organise in the future, drop me an email and I will be more than happy to help
Hey!! My name is Maria and my pronouns are she/her! I’m a 3rd year Film, Photography and Media student and I spend most of my time geeking about TV shows (especially Normal People hehe).
As well-being officer I will make sure that the events organised by the society are mindful of everyone’s wellbeing. This includes giving members a chance to create a community of like-minded people, which I’m sure some of you will have missed. I will also be working with Wik (our amazing social media officer!) to create posts around mental, physical and social health.
And most importantly, I’m always here for a chat if you have any ideas or if you’re ever concerned about anything, so feel free to drop me an email!
Hi guys! I'm Heidi (she/her), and I'm a first-year student doing Journalism. I'm from Hong Kong and I love learning different languages and cultures.
Being the Charity Liaison Officer at LMS, I'm responsible for engaging with local and national charities to understand support needs, hosting fundraising events and letting members know what charities we're supporting!
Reach out to me through the email above if you have any questions or causes that you would want to support, or just for a chat!
Hi folks!! My name is Wik, I’m a third year Film, Photography and Media student, and my pronouns are she/her!
As your social media officer, I am the one managing the society’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter – keeping you in the loop about events, and other such shenanigans. I make the little graphics, and try to keep it interesting for all you lovely people.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, I am always there at the other end of the social media channels – reach out whenever! :D
Hi! My name is Patryk, I'm a 3rd year FPM student, and I use 'they/them' pronouns!
I'm the one making sure the LMS websites and emails work well so that you can engage with us in the most convenient way possible! I also take care of every one of the newsletters landing in your inboxes so you stay up to date with the society.
If you encounter any issues with any of the digital LMS services, I'm the person you should contact! I'm available via my @lmssoc.org email or over any of the LMS social media channels :D
Hello! My name is Isabel, I’m a second year journalism student, and my pronouns are she/her. I’m obsessed with musical theatre and crystals :)
As blog editor for LMS, my job is to write, edit and post content on our new up and coming blog. The blog is a place where readers are able to learn, interact and keep up to date with the latest news and events in Leeds.
If you have any questions, ideas or stories you would like to pitch, please feel free to contact me whenever. I would love to hear from you!
